Formative offers a wide range of team-exclusive features to help enhance your experience. Upgrading to a Gold Plan allows teachers to access all extended features including collaboration. These collaboration features enable teachers to accomplish much more together with their colleagues.

Want teachers to be able to to work with their team members to create formatives for students? Collaborating on a formative will allow them to do so. Teachers can create formatives together or share a formative they created with a colleague to allow them to assign it to their classes.

If teachers co-teach, it only makes sense for them both to be able to view student data, assign and grade formatives, and provide students with feedback. Now they can do so!

If a team leader or administrator needs to view data from multiple classes and teachers, they can now do so by creating a team and assigning an "admin" - someone who can view all classes in the team and data for students within those classes. Sub-teams can narrow district-wide data down to the school level and further into the department level.

Gold plan members are able to publish formatives to a library accessible only to your organization, allowing colleagues to easily search for and grab a copy.

Teachers can publish formatives to the team's private library as a Common Assessment. When a colleague grabs this from the library, they won't be able to edit or change the content in any way - they will only be able to assign it. That means that teachers can be sure every class is taking the same version of the assessment.

Students can also access the Standards Tracker for Students

Students can track their growth on standards right from their own dashboard! If you tag standards to a formative, have scores set to be returned or close the formative after they've submitted, students will be able to see and track their progress by clicking on the 'Standards' tab.

Set Text to Speech accommodation for students on a global level, across classes. This setting can be disabled on individual formatives if needed.

Questions

With a Gold plan, teachers have access to unlimited PDF/Doc/Google Doc uploads with our upload and transform feature. Normally this is limited to 20 pages per month on a free license.

Place images in answer choices for visual questions.

See student growth over time (for up to 2 years back) and see it tied to standards. Students can also access their personal progress tracker for any formatives tagged with standards and completed by them!

Print formatives with or without student responses.

Export as much formative data as your heart desires.

Set a limit on the time students have to complete an assignment or test.

Grant students access to your formative only within a specific window of time.

Score and give feedback to multiple student answers at the same time. This is useful if a particular question is giving multiple students trouble!

Assign to any subset of students in a class. Pick the student or students you want to assign a formative to if they need to retake the assignment, need extra practice, or for other specific assignment needs.

Certain questions can be auto-graded in a way that partial credit is automatically given to the student.

If you type keywords into your answer key, student responses that include those keywords will be graded as correct. Short Answer, Free Response, and Numeric questions allow you to select Partial Match.

Pass scores from formatives back to Google Classroom.

You can add a Show Your Work canvas to any question type! This allows you to see your students' process while keeping the benefit of having Formative auto-grade responses on questions like multiple choice.

Upload or embed a video and link questions to specific times.

Teachers can draw feedback on submitted Drawing or show your work responses.

Your formative was submitted or is even still in progress and you just realized a correct answer was missing from the key. Now your auto-grading isn't scoring correctly. Not to worry, this feature allows you to fix that instantly!

Randomize Results:

Randomize the order of student responses in your live results feed. Helpful in protecting student privacy when screen-sharing results with the classroom.

Create a set of scoring guidelines for open-ended questions to evaluate students’ work and provide clear criteria for students to follow.

Student to Teacher Feedback:

Students can send feedback to partner teachers directly on a formative and respond to teacher feedback messages.

Detect copy/pasted answers to deter cheating and get notified if students change an answer after grading.

Lock your classes at any time to disable the join code and prevent unwanted new class members, such as students accidentally logging in from multiple accounts.
